Time and a Half

Omg. I need to make this.

Hello. I’ve been on a productivity block for a bit. Well, not really. Just here. And there. Behind the scenes I’ve been really busy, though! It’s been a few months but I’m now an Art Director at a company that I absolutely love. I’m getting tons more orders over at PMP… it’s pretty exciting! I can hardly keep up. Overall, I’m just trying to find that fine balance of work and relaxation. It’s nearly impossible when you have your own little side business, but I really can’t complain. Wedding season is definitely upon us and orders keep on coming. I’m happy.

Our little letterpress studio is coming along nicely. I am going to try and arrange a photoshoot and get some nice photos of it by the summertime. :)

This is what I’ve been up to lately:

My friend Tristan is leaving for Singapore today and entrusted his lovely succulents with us… They already feel at home. There are tons more than pictured in this photo.. I should really get photos of the plants on the patio before they all die (kidding).  :)

Food. Oh how I love thee. Lately, I’ve been all about home cooked meals. A few nights ago, Eames and I went on an asian supermarket shopping spree and bought supplies and ingredients for shabu shabu. We’ve been eating at an amazing restaurant that serves it sukiyaki style, so we decided to try it at home and um, I don’t think we’ll ever have to eat out again. It was so good and so easy to make!

So Eames and I have been going to LA somewhat frequently and I thought to myself, “I could totally do this. I could totally live here for a bit while I’m young! I’ll be surrounded my creativity, and food, and friends, and fun! YEAH LA!”

So this one day, we went to a birthday dinner in LA, and as we were walking to our car alone in an empty parking lot, a man approaches us, throws his hands up, and says, “Ey, I ain’t tryina bone you.. [INSERT WTF FACE] but I just got out of jail and I don’t have a phone or money and I need to take the bus.”

And that is how I know I belong in Orange County. Hahah.

Sometimes it’s simple things like this that make my day.
